Mark Seekins is the artist behind printsonthetrail. He’s previously shown and shared his art with the NWX community and is back showcasing new items at Midway.
He loves nothing more than creating and leaving prints. Hence the name “prints on the trail”. He learned printmaking as a kid and even created a couple of prints in Junior High and High School art class…but picked it back up in earnest during the Pandemic! He works from a block and hand-carves, then presses and pulls each print by hand. Much of his work is scenes from the trails he’s hiked or places he’s been.
In his own words: “I’ve had the opportunity to work on some pretty cool projects over the past several years. None bigger than the rebrand of the 5 original Game of Thrones Books! Tim Green was the illustrator, and I did prints of his Illustrations. Those prints made the covers! I still pinch myself every time I see them in a bookstore.”
Mark’s work has been picked up by stores all around Sisters and Bend, Oregon, with a few stores (more coming soon) around the country…including places like Sandpoint, ID, Gainesville, TX, and even Marquette, MI! Of course, check your local coffee shop…you might see his work on the walls.
Mark will be displaying his artwork at our Midway location starting September 4th.
His reception will be on Wednesday, September 16th from 4 pm-6 pm
